My story
Scooby is the sweetest dog ever. This boy has really melted the hearts of everyone he has met. There isn`t a person that he doesn`t seem to love. He is currently being fostered by a graduate student that loves him very much but he is ready to find his forever home! Scooby is around 6 years old and weighs around 52 pounds. It is suspected that he is a Pit Bull and Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Although we`re not sure how he is around children, there isn`t a person he hasn`t loved, so I suspect that he would be just fine with children. Scooby is fully vaccinated, dewormed, and neutered. We are currently crate training him and he does very well at night, as well as during the day if I need to go to work or step out for a little bit. He is an active boy, so he would do well in a household that can take him on long walks, adventures, and play with him in the backyard. We suspect that he would do just fine with dogs similar to his size, although he might do well with smaller dogs, as well. On walks, he seems to do just fine when he sees other dogs and even if they bark. He doesn`t bark back and stays attentive but calm. He`s also really great in the car. In the very beginning, he had a little bit of anxiety and I suspect he probably still has some, but he reacts very well and stays in the back seat no problem. All he really wants to do is just be with you. He`ll cuddle up next to me while I do work, and really just cuddle up next to anyone. We aren`t too sure about his past but we just know that he feels very loved now and that`s all that matters. There really isn`t anything that seems to bother him. He is very affectionate, loves to give kisses, loves to play in the backyard, and loves his `Babies`, aka his plush toys. Although I think he might do better with at least one stay at home parent so he isn`t home alone all day, so far he has been really wonderful in the crate and I think it would be possible for his family to go to work during the day and be with him in the evenings and night.
