My story
Scooby is an 8-month-old male Lab/Pit Bull mix who must be neutered before he is adopted. He was brought to PAHS as a stray who was found in a park; and his owner never came looking for him. Scooby has a beautiful shiny chocolate brown coat with white markings. He currently weighs only 28 pounds and we don't believe he will get a lot bigger. This sweetheart has the most expressive and cutest little ears! Scooby is very shy and easily frightened. Once he warms up to you he is very sweet and friendly. We know he plays well with other dogs and would be fine in home with children. Scooby needs a little work on his leash training but he is so eager to please we think he would be easy to train. This is a really nice boy who just needs a second chance at life. We can tell by his behavior that probably, when he was a stray, he has had some bad treatment. It is time for sweet Scooby to learn to trust and love and nothing will help him get there quicker than a patient new owner. If you want to make a difference in a shelter dog's life--Scooby is the one for you. ****Please note that when introducing a new dog into a home with children and other pets adult supervision is strongly recommended until the new dog settles in with the family.****Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.
