Snazzy is a gorgeous, 1 year-old Schnauzer that weighs 20lbs. He might take a little bit to warm up to you, but once you win him over he is an affectionate, well behaved little boy. Snazzy is house trained and gets along great with other dogs. He has some amusing Schnauzer tendencies, loves attention, and can be vocal when trying to communicate. However, he is very responsive to your queues of "Quiet" when you want him to pipe down. He loves running around the yard, walks around the neighborhood, chasing after balls (not necessarily bringing them back!) and watching the world through his living room window. When it's time for bed, Snazzy is happy to cuddle up in his own bed and sleep all through the night.
Snazzy is eager to please and is such a quick learner! Within a few days with his foster he learned "Sit" and his working on "Come" and "Wait". He doesn't mind baths. He sat calmly while we suds him up and even lifted his little paws when prompted. Too cute. He is a good little eater and is not at all picky. As a toddler, Snazzy could benefit from continued guidance, structure and training. He's smart, responsive, and happy to learn!
The best fit for Snazzy would be with a family/person who is active and can spend time with him. He would be happy with a doggie pal, but is also fine on his own.
Snazzy is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He is gonna be a great family member. Please go Second Chance's website at: http://www. secondchancedogrescue.org/ to complete an application to meet him. His adoption fee is $250.00 and helps the organization cover neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatment, food and supplies.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
