Scamp is a 5yr old Chihuahua/German Shepherd mix. Yup, that's right.. a Germhuahua. Like Chihuahua was hard enough to spell! Scamp weighs in at 28.2lbs and has the body of an over grown Chihuahua and the face of a German Shepherd. He was owner surrendered to us due to relocating, and is hoping to land himself into a new home and quickly. He's making lots of friends 2 legged and 4 here at AZSDR, but he wants a family again. Per the previous owner, Scamp is a friendly, attention loving, and well trained boy. He has lived with other small dogs, is good with kids, but doesn't care for cats. He is housebroken, kennel trained, leash trained, and rides well in the car. He loves going for walks and car rides! He likes to play with tennis balls and chew toys. He would do best in a home with a yard, and would do well with another small dog that understands he likes attention from his people, or would be fine as the only dog in the home. Scamp is protective over his bumm. He doesn't really like other dogs smelling it, or people touching it. He's also a little weird about men picking him up, but if he knows them well it's ok... as long as you don't touch his booty! He's a smart boy who knows the commands sit, lay down, roll over, and hut! When you say hut he sits straight up on his butt. Scamp is an awesome boy that we are hoping finds his new forever family soon. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, chipped, vet checked, and ready to go home! His adoption comes with a free vet visit and 30 days of free pet insurance. His adoption fee is $220. Come to our location at 1102 W. Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tues-Sunday 11am to 6pm.
