Sara's story
Hi friends! My name is Sara and I am a 2 year old, 70 pound chunk of chocolate love with the most soft and silky coat ever! I was turned in to DLRR because my former owners were getting a divorce. I previously lived with a 5 year old lab and currently live with a 4 year old four legged foster sister who I absolutely LOVE to play with. While I spent a fair amount of time outside in my former home, I am house trained and crate trained but I am still learning how to behave inside. While my foster parents haven't taken a chance with this, I am probably not quite trustworthy alone in the house and should be crated when left alone until I am a little older. First thing you should know about me, I still have lots of puppy energy and I need a furever home that will be dedicated to giving lots of daily exercise. Secondly, I know how to sit, I have a gentle mouth and will take treats gently but I need someone who will work with a trainer so I can become the best dog I can be. I have been going for daily walks and runs in my foster home but being leashed is a new thing for me so I tend to zig zag all over the place and bark when I see other dogs walking. This will improve with time, training and leadership from my furture parents! I also have a little 1 year old human brother in my foster home and love him! I adore all sorts of kids and humans and just lean right in to everyone for pats, love and attention.
