Saoirse-Courtesy Post's story
Saoirse (Seer-sha), spayed female, approximate DOB 06/02/07, redbone coonhound, 52 lbs Saoirse was an owner surrender at MCCACC as a bite case. Statements made by the owner said the wife was teasing Saoirse and Saoirse growled. The wife continued to tease her, so she bit the wife on the hand. I ran full bloodwork on Saoirse and she is in perfect health. She is very sweet and affectionate but does not like to have her nails trimmed or ears cleaned. She will snap at those things. There have been no other occasions where she has attempted to bite. While she likes my older dogs, she would do best in a single dog home. She will lunge and snap at the younger dogs when they play too close to her. Despite her age, she is very active and loves to go on walks. She does well on a leash and knows basic commands. She is house-broken and crate trained. Due to her history, she cannot go to a home where there are children under 18. Saoirse is currently recovering from wounds received during a dog fight with one of my other dogs. If interested in more information about Saoirse call 480-375- 1785
