Beautiful antique 4/4 violin. The label inside the f hole reads: Salvadore De Duro, B&J New York, Sole Importers. The beautiful tone woods used and the excellent workmanship, seem to point to the Lowendall Berlin Shop as the most likely maker. They produced quality instruments for export to the United States in the early 1900s. There is an old professionally done repair on the lower right side of the top deck. It is solid. The violin is structurally sound and in excellent ready to play condition. The sound is excellent as expected from a Lowendall violin. Dimensions are: overall length 23 and 1/4" body 14" and width 8" Returns accepted; buyer pays for return shipping.
