Sally - in Maine - updated April 2018
Sally is a beautiful sweetheart who is about 45 lbs and 2-3 years old. She is the mom to the S puppies on our site now
Sookie, Sully, Sampson, etc. When Sally was found in the south she had a scar around her neck that was already healed. We are terrified to know what happened to her but in spite of that she is willing to open her heart to humans. She is great with other dogs, and we dont know about cats.
The person who found her in the south could not keep her, as he was homeless himself, so he turned her over to our partner rescue; he must have taken great care of her to help her heal and get ready to have her babies.
Sally is shy at first, like most of her sweet babies. They have already been through so much and are learning to trust and love humans. Sally is just such a sweetheart. She loves playing with other dogs at the wonderful doggy day care who is fostering her. She is there with her son Simon and they are doing wonderfully together.
Sally is very playful for a while but then will throw herself down in the sun for a nap. She is great in the crate and good on leash. Sally loves to give kisses!
If you have interest in meeting Sally or any of our cuties, please fill out the adoption application here: /adoption-application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
Thank you for considering rescue!
