My story
Hi, I'm Sage! I'm a very friendly girl who can't wait to find my furever home! Let me tell you about my story! I came to High Country back in October 2022 with an injured back leg. I also have hip dysplasia, so the Medical team and Kaibab Vet Clinic decided to perform surgery to set a plate and fix my leg so that less strain is placed on my knees. I was on strict low activity in a foster home for nearly 8 weeks and now am FINALLY ready to find my furever home! I am so grateful to the staff and my foster family for helping me heal (and letting me keep all my legs)!!!!
Notes from foster: "Sage is the sweetest - loyal, alert, and follows me around like Velcro. She bonds quickly and strongly to "her person. Loves snuggling and ice cubes. She's crate trained, knows "sit, and is potty trained! We also tried introducing her to friends' dogs this weekend and she did great with them. We think she'd be okay living with dog siblings, although she'd also do well as an only dog."
I'm fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to go home! I am currently in a foster home, so please call/text my foster family at
to schedule a Meet and Greet with me!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sage, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
