Saddlebred - Baby Aka Betty - Large - Senior - Female - Horse

　　20+ yr. old, 15H, Bay, Standardbred Mare.

　　Betty and Barney were rescued out of a neglectful situation back in January. They were emaciated, unkempt and covered in lice and skin infections after being kept together, tied to opposite walls, in a single small stall for an undetermined amount of time.

　　Horses are so very forgiving and these two are no different. They're well bonded and get along like an old married couple. A little bit of bickering with a lot of admiration. They're sweet and personable and fun to have around. They both enjoy being groomed and especially love cookies, fresh water and meal times. At this point, they're all cleaned up and doing great, although Barney's still struggling with a little skin condition, it's getting better by the day. They're personalities are back, they have a gleam in their eye and a spring in their step. We'd love to find them a place to retire but would be happy with a foster situation for the summer ~ fall. Being out on pasture would be ideal for them and they love being outside 24/7 with a run-in shed. We'd be willing to offer them for a foster situation or to an appropriate retirement home with adoption fees waived.
