  My story

Please go to our website at  to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Odin is the perfect companion. Really well behaved, has loads of love to give his people or dog friends. He's young and has lots of energy, but no more puppy craziness. Doesn't pull on the leash and seems to be picking things up quickly with the help of treats.Health Notes | Healthy. Appears to be in great shape.Other Dogs | Loves all dogs. He appears to be a submissive partner and does not play rough.Cats | Unsure. He is super loving and it is possible he would get in the cat's face.Children | He'd likely be great with kids. Loves pets and super gentle with treats. Would likely enjoy being chased, likes to play tug of war.Training | 100% housebroken - he doesn't mark on walks but just pees in grass once. He doesn't know any commands yet but we are working on it and having good success with "sit" and "down" using a treat as a lure. Odin likes to go in his crate during the day to relax or play with his toys (rope, stuffed animal, kong, you name it). At night, he sleeps through the night on carpet in the bedroom - wasn't a fan of the dog bed in the room but likely would also like the crate at night. He is getting fed using a slow feeder and he figured it out in no time.Leash | He is wonderful on the leash. Loose leash about 80% of the time. If he pulls, it is not strong; I've only been using a collar and not even a harness.Activity Level | Moderate. He doesn't go crazy on walks but saves some energy for when we're at home so he can snuggle and play. Would likely be a good running and hiking buddy.Personality | Odin is the sweetest. His tail is wagging most of the time and he loves to cuddle and be pet. He can't always decide which toy he wants to play with so he may play with all of them in the span of 10 minutes. On walks, he would really like walkers to pet him and dogs to play with him, but if it doesn't hapen he doesn't waste much time before moving on.Story | Odin was found as a stray in Texas and rescued from a shelter by Mile High.Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. December 2, 2022, 9:27 pm
