Rusty's story

　　DOB: 10/9/18

　　Rusty might have a squeaky, rusty creak of a meow, but hes no cranky kitty! Hes gregarious, curious, and always ready to stick his nose in something new or someplace interesting. One of his favorite things to do is follow human feet around; not only are human feet fun to play with, but they usually lead to tasty snacks and warm laps to sleep on.

　　Compared to his siblings, Rusty is a verbose talker. Hes also learned how to fish around inside a tupperwear and grab treats with his paws, so make sure youve got lids for your snacks with this kitty around!

　　Hes learned that wiggling fingers and kissy noises mean come get some headrubs and comes running to headbutt. Hes a fierce headbutt-er, and will bonk his head on shins and hands and the side of the sofa if he thinks hes going to get some attention. Scratch his shoulders and watch him arch up, and start his purr engine. He enjoys being carried and scooped up like a baby, because after all the view is far better up at human height.

　　His foster parents have also been working on teaching him cat manicures are fun, and so far hes learning that getting a nail trim is tolerable. Bribes with some crunchy treats definitely help him agree!

　　Rusty loves computers! Something about blinking cursors and mouse icons, and hes transfixed. Careful leaving an unattended keyboard, you might find him typing up his script treatment or rearranging your icons.

　　Rusty has also learned great cat manners from older cats in his foster home; he gets along well with the adults and even the cranky senior cats. His bravery is unparalleled when it comes to stealing toys out from under a cat three times his size, and even when hes being wrestled with, he never knows quit. Hes still learning that humans cant wrestle as rough as other kittens can, but when he hears a mew! he concedes to a time out and will lick and love on you to make sure theres no hard feelings.
