My story
Your cute, cuddly companion!
Hi, pals! My name is Rupert. I’m a pint-sized sweetie with a big heart. I’m a 3.5-year-old, 12-pound Chi mix. I was recently rescued from Tijuana in pretty ruff conditions. I’m an amputee, also known as a terrific tripod. I use moisturizing eye drops 2/3 times a day on my right eye which costs about $13.00 a tube. I take daily joint Dasuquin Chews, which are about $40.00 for a 3-month supply. Despite my bumps and bruises, I still enjoy mild activity and most of all, being a cuddly lover boy!
I’m a friendly fella who gets along with two and four-legged friends. I mostly just coexist or snuggle with other pooches and keep my attention focused on my people. I love all humans instantly, kids included. I’m not sure what I think about cats, but I hope we’d get along. I enjoy getting out for a few walks, but my favorite thing to do is curl up in a warm spot and catch some Zzzs. I’m a superb snuggler and adore getting affection. I’m also a big fan of treat-dispensing toys and keeping my people company.
I’m hard at work on my good boy training and I’m almost there with house/bathroom rules. I do well on the leash and like getting out for a few mellow walks. I’m a total people-pup and have worked on being alone in the house and have shown nice. I’m a very quiet boy and pawmise not to disrupt any WFH calls!
If you’re looking for a small sweetheart who will never leave you feeling lonely, I’m your man! Since I’m so easygoing, I’d do well in a variety of homes. As long as I have plenty of places to curl up for a cozy nap and some loving people, I’ll be the happiest boy. So what do you say? Give Rupert the second chance that he’s been hoping for!
My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/
