Rudy's story
Rudy came to our rescue the beginning of May. He is about 2 years old and was abused, malnourished and had demadex mange which has been treated and slowly his hair is growing back. For the hard life Rudy has had so far, he still loves people, wagging his tail with every person he meets. Rudy is also heartworm positive. His treatment started last week and will be done by the end of July at which time he will be ready to go to his forever home. We are trying to figure out the breed, but that is hard to do without his hair grown in. We think maybe retriever/ lab mix. All Rudy craves is attention. He tries so hard to please. He is housetrained for the most part. So far we are working on crate up and sit and since he is very treat motivated he is catching on quickly. Rudy does not chew anything and he walks well on a leash. He gets along with the dogs here at the rescue, though prefers females.
We would love to find someone to foster Rudy or Foster to adopt him, during his treatment. But to foster you must live within 30 miles of the rescue. Rudy is microchipped, up to date on all shots and neutered. If you are interested in fostering or foster to adopt, Rudy, fill out an application, which can be found at
