Ruby is a very sweet one year girl who was rescued from a southern California shelter after her mother was killed when she and her siblings were only 6 days old. Hand raised by an independent rescuer at a local high school as part of a community service project, Ruby was surrounded by loving kids and adults. Once old enough, she lived with her rescuer at her home with multiple other dogs.
Ruby is curious, active, loves the outdoors, is housebroken, and is dog, cat and people social. She came to Family Dog because her rescuer now has too many animals and asked for our help to find forever homes for some of them.
Ruby has lived with other dogs all her life and would most likely love a doggie sister or brother. She is up to date on all her shots, spayed, and micro-chipped. Although feeling a bit scared and shy when she first arrived, Ruby is doing great with the dogs and cats in her foster home. She is very happy, affectionate and super sweet little one, 12 pounds, who is house-trained and could easily live in an apartment. Now she needs her forever home!
