Ruby's story

　　Hi, my name is Ruby! When I was first brought to the shelter, it was discovered that I have Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a virus that infects cats and weakens their immune systems. It means that I have to live as an indoor only cat forever, and that I can only be around other cats that already have the FIV virus. I will also need to be on a healthy diet to keep my immune system strong. FIV CANNOT be spread to other animals or people, so I wouldn't mind living with a cat-savvy dog or friendly kids! I am a sweet girl that has had a rough life out in the wilderness. I am ready to retire my adventurous ways and would appreciate a family who can give me lots of scratches on my head and chin especially, I LOVE to be petted and loved on.
