My story
Royal pine is one of those dogs that just breaks my heart. She has been hurt by humans and isn't sure if she is ready to trust them again. She wants to...her tail wags, she smiles and comes up to you for affection but I think fast and sudden movements make her relive some horrible memories. She came to us with a broken leg. No idea how or why but her leg is shattered and will require amputation. She needs humans that will let her decompress and move at her own pace. She would prefer a quiet life with no small children. Other animals are ok, they actually help her come out of her shell since she feels she can trust them.
She deserves a home that won't hurt her or give up on her.

Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member.
All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.
Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.
If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.
If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at

if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt ROYAL PINE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
