This is a beautiful Lidl Bruno Eb rotary trumpet. The rotary valves are a clock spring mechanism that was common long ago. The valves move freely. It is lacquered. It has a serial number of 12 or 18, which is difficult to read (see picture). This could mean it is very old and/or not many were made. For its age, it looks very good. Don't expect it to play like a new/$5000 horn, and you will be happy. Try Last Post and Reveille, Cavalry Version, from England. Maybe even try some Strauss "Ein Heldenleben," 2nd trumpet, or some Wagner. Plus, it is a novelty and conversation piece for a cheap price!
I had this horn professionally cleaned and had one new clock spring installed, and I have not played it much since then. However, I have been happy with it.
The receiver is a trumpet shank. Large bore recommended!
