Meet Rosie Toasty!
Rosie is a blonde beauty and former neighborhood stray looking for her forever home. She is currently being fostered by an adult couple, their two kids, a cat and other dogs. Rosie is playful, respectful of corrections, and cohabitates well with the other dogs, kids, and adults in her foster home. The cats, Rosie says “They’re tolerable.” In new places, her interest is piqued and curious about her surroundings, but remains calm and settles quickly. Rosie remains mostly quiet but likes to “talk” occasionally and barks while playing. She is gentle, affectionate, and loves to cuddle. She thinks she’s a lap dog lol! When she’s not lounging on your lap, Rosie loves to play with squeaky toys and chew toys. She also loves going places, especially to playgroups (where she loves to chase the other doggies) and going on walks. In the car, she can be loose and remains calm.
Rosie walks well on a leash, is working on her house training and can sleep in bed all night without moving. However, she does not like crate - she pants, drools and tears things up. When left alone and free to roam, even for a few minutes, she may puppy chew on things, sometimes a shoe or a cord -small things and never furniture. She has been left in her foster’s backyard with one of their dogs when they’ve left for longer periods of time and does well. Rosie would prefer a home where she would not be left alone for extended periods of time and can be left to roam free without anything to get into, but with supervision. She may do best in a home with another dog that can keep her company and show her the ropes.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
