My story
Hello there! My names Rosie. I am a 3-year-old, spayed female, Beagle/Terrier mix weighing at about 55 lbs. I was found as a pup on the streets of Tijuana. Thats when I came over to TAP in the hopes of finding my forever home. I am bathroom trained. Currently, I ring a bell to let my hoomans know when I need to go outside. I am house trained, but I may have an accident once in a blue moon. I do not do well in a crate but Im fine being left in the house. I also do pretty well on a leash using the gentle leader. Some tricks I know are "heel", stop, down, down stay for longer periods, u-turn, leave it and place when you want me to go to my bed.I was adopted a year ago by my current foster family and love them so much. However, I have a hard time encountering so many dogs when I go for walks in Ocean Beach. Although I am not comfortable meeting other dogs on my walks, I get along fine with the dog at my fosters and bonded with her immediately. I love to wrestle with her. It is possible that I would do well with another dog in the home if we were introduced carefully. Dont worry about children! I love them and have always been patient and kind to them.I am smart, goofy, sweet, but most importantly a very affectionate dog. I love to give kisses, but I will respect you if you tell me you dont want them. When it comes to personal space, I want to be next to you as much as I can because I love people. My foster mom says I love to use my nose to nose bump anything and everything I want to explore. Some of my favorite things are chewing on my Nylabones and playing with my KONG ball (who doesnt love those!). I have lots of fun playing chuck-it and will even drop the ball when I bring it back, especially if you have treats!I would do best in a neighborhood that doesnt have as many dogs as there are in Ocean Beach (where I am currently) so I can enjoy my walks without being on alert. A home with a yard would be best as I love to lay out in the sun. I am used to having at least one hooman working from home, so preferably a person or family that is home a lot to give me the attention and love I crave. My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
