Rosie 30352's story
Rosie is a 10-month-old female Redbone Coonhound who must be spayed before she is adopted. She was an owner turn in because she was too active to be in the home with a young child. Rosie's mahogany coat is simply stunning; and so shiny you can almost see yourself in it! She does have some white on her chest; and she currently weighs 36 pounds. We believe Rosie will be a medium sized adult dog. She is friendly, affectionate, and very even tempered. Rosie is eager to please and would be a good student for obedience school. Her amiable temperament would make her a great addition to a family with children and other dogs. She probably would be a little too active to be in a home with small children. Rosie loves to play with the other young dogs at PAHS. She would need to be adopted by a family who would make sure Rosie gets plenty of exercise. She is quite frisky and just needs to have a family willing to make sure she has an outlet for her energy.
Dogs can be adopted for $120. Cat adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
