Ringneck dove Rory (shown here sitting on her and her mate Memphis' unfertilized eggs- no breeding allowed!) was found on the street in San Jose with a previously broken leg. It had already healed in a splayed position. She also had severely trimmed feathers on both wings and tail. It's a miracle she survived long enough to get rescued. (Trimmed wing birds can still get airborne on air currents and get lost all the time!) She can't walk due to the badly healed broken leg but now that her feathers have molted and she has a beautiful new set, she can fly! She is bonded to Memphis, another dove hen and they are very committed to each other. They both live in a gentle flock and are doing well and would also do great as indoor family pets. Please apply to adopt /birds/apply-to-foster-or-adopt/
