Sometimes owners surrender a dog to rescue for the right reasons, and that's exactly what happened with Rocky, the English Mastiff. His former owner felt she was getting up there in years and recently had knee surgery, so she simply couldn't care for her beloved Rocky like she wanted to. So that's why he's here at BDHP looking for a new forever home. Rocky is a 2-year-old male, partly house-trained (he's definitely willing to work with you on that), crate-trained, and leash-trained. He knows the "sit," "down," "lie down," and "no" commands and is trustworthy with free-roam of the house. Like most dogs, he will chew when he's bored, but he also loves any kind of treats, so he's easily redirected. Oh, and don't tell the cats, but he LOVES to chase the cats' laser light. Shhhh! He's good with other dogs, often playing with a former neighbor's small dog. He also gets along well with cats and kids and car rides are always great. Could your home be the one that provides the red laser light for this sweet boy to chase and enjoy forever? If so, ask about Rocky when you put in your application!
