This listing is for a barely

　　used 380 Watt RMS Rockville RPA-9 power amplifier in mint operating condition

　　and superb cosmetic condition. This is a current model that is still being

　　distributed. It features a toroidal core power transformer and two 6,800uF

　　filter capacitors totaling 13,600uF. Two truly quiet internal cooling fans and a

　　large tunnel heat-sink insure cool operation. The eight 150Watt, 230Volt, 15Ampere

　　TO-3P case output devices allow for safe operation with cool operation. The RMS

　　power output, into 8Ω non-inductive test loads, measures 156 Watts RMS per

　　channel from 30Hz to 20kHz, with both channels driven, at the point of clipping.

　　Into 4Ω Ohm non-inductive test loads, the power

　　output is over 190 Watts RMS per channel from 30Hz to

　　20kHz, with both channels driven, at the point of clipping. The bridged

　　power output into 8Ω loads is 420 Watts RMS from 30Hz to 20kHz, at the point of

　　clipping. The laughable manufacturer rating of “3000 Watts peak” needs no

　　further delineation and is the product of spec writers competing to win the

　　“Watts-per-dollar competition” that has emerged since the FTC stopped enforcing

　　honesty in amplifier power ratings.

　　I bought this amp and

　　six other identical units over a period of 6 months during the previous year,

　　and have used them occasionally, as a part of my huge home sound system to

　　drive individual pairs of 8Ω bookshelf speakers in a “wall-of-sound”

　　configuration, located in my downstairs paneled game room. I am only selling

　　the six amplifiers to experiment with other makes and models of similar

　　amplifiers. This listing is for a single amplifier. I will list the other
