My story

　　12/02/21 Rocko (previously known as Raqi) was surrendered to the shelter due to being to high energy and having separation anxiety. Rocko may just need way more exercise than he has been getting. He LOVES to run and sprint around in our dog yard out back and can go forever! We feel that he would do well if he had a job to do that involved exercise, such as skijoring! Rocko was said to do good with people of all ages including babies and children. He was also said to do well with dogs and cats. Rocko has a history of being an escape artist and has still been known to jump/climb fences to escape. In the shelter, Rocko has displayed his great climbing skills on tall kennel fences! Rocko's previous owner did not specify if he was fully housebroken but stated he will whine at the door when asking to go outside. Rocko's previous owner felt he would do best in a home where his people were around more frequently. We encourage you to speak to your vet about ways to help Rocko with his separation anxiety. Rocko has been a sweet heart at the shelter! He is a high energy pup and will require a good amount of daily physical and mental stimulation to keep him entertained and out of trouble! He is looking for an active home that can continue to work with him on his training and take him on plenty of adventures. He is a little shy, but generally friendly. Raqi was surrendered to the shelter with his buddy Togo because he is destructive in the house and chews things up. He is a young dog that needs to learn some basic obedience to get him to be well mannered in the house. His previous owner stated that he jumps on people, gets into garbage, and chews furniture shoes and clothes. Raqi is said to be good with cats and sniffs pocket pets. He can `sit`, `shake` and goes into his kennel on command. While at the shelter Raqi has climbed his kennel attemppting to escape, so keep in mind that a standard fence will probably not contain him. Raqi is a young, sweet guy that would love a patient person to work with him on becoming a well mannered dog. He is looking forward to finding his forever home.
