　　Meet Rockie! Rockie was exited from the local SD shelter back in 2016 by ARWOB and adopted to what we thought was a great family. Sadly, we received a call from the same shelter a couple of days back 3/2018 mentioning Rockie was just relinquished by her owners. As you can imagine we were fairly upset since our adoption contract indicates to please contact us and we have first priority to take our rescues back if things don't work out and for some reason and you find your self unable to keep your new family member. We detest shelter dumping when we have had a rescue be part of our Arwob family. Sadly, we don't know WHY she was dropped off. Rockie is in need of a dental and is receiving it soon but, aside from that, she is a magnificent looking basset with a gentle demeanor. She was introduced to some of the Arwob rescue dogs and cats and was just fine with them. She loves car rides and sleeps like a baby in her crate. She seems very people oriented, but she definitely doesn't listen very well to her people...... then again, what basset does??! True to its breed, she is stubborn and has a great sense of smell...she also loves tamales (ha ha never leave those in a car with her unsupervised!) and sweet, social and very outgoing. Please read up on her breed).
