River's story

　　River once had a home. His previous owner had run away to escape the many debts he owed as a result of gambling. Without the owner taking dogs with him, River was deserted in an empty house, no food and no water, until later he was found weak by the neighbors. We don't want to think of any excuse. It was heartbreaking for our rescuers on that day to witness these meek and gentle creatures, starved and all by themselves, lying on the ground waiting. Perhaps River was missing his owner, but he didn't know that his owner was not coming back anymore. Our rescuers took River to the vet. He was in a very poor condition; the doctor said he had suffered from a long-term starvation and dehydration.

　　He was hospitalized to ensure he would be well taken care of. River is a bright boy. He loves to play with the other dogs from his foster family. He also likes to approach everyone with curiosity. River's best friend : Jerry, he with River from same previous owner, Jerry got a very sweet family in NY, now we hope River also meet his new family.

　　River enjoys exploring the outside world and likes to tag along in every human activity. He likes to be encouraged; he would twist his bum happily. Such a very gentle and calm dog! River had been in his foster home and foster mom has given him so much love and good care for him. We think he wishes everyone could hug him .River is ready to find a forever home. It is our sincere hope that someone will give him a chance and provide him with a happy and secure home.
