Hi world, Im little Ricky. Im just a pup who loves to play, but I have to learn to be super careful. You see, my pup Mom must have been a carrier of Hemophilia B and yep, I inherited it. Lucky for me, when the folks at M.A.I.N. came to the rescue, they already knew about my issue. Hemophilia is a bleeding disorder, so I have to be careful now not to get too rambunctious. When I first came into foster I was a mess, but after some care and meds I am getting better. I still have to be careful though. And I wont sugar coat it. Whoever adopts me will have to train me to be sensible (no unsupervised horsing around), plus I need a family who will be committed financially to my condition. Yep, thats a tough one I know, but I dont want my future family to be unaware of the cost of my wellbeing. On the bright side, Ive been having a blast with my foster family and my dog cousins. My fosters call me Flash cause Im really fast and have a lot of energy. Some of my favorite things: hanging out with my big dog friends and playing chase, cuddling up with the humans on movie night, loving on all the cats in the house (yep, Im an equal opportunity play mate). But my bestest thing I love to do is go for rides in the car with my head out the window so I can feel the breeze. Love that! I know I have special needs, but honestly I cant live in a bubble. I love other dogs, cats and humans and yep, at some point I may get hurt, but I still want to live a normal a life with a forever family. I know I may require some extra TLC, but I will make it worth your while. Promise. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing the rest of the world. -- Ricky
