Rex's story
Hello, Kind Human. I'm Rex, unsure around new people, especially men. I have lots of potential though, for being affectionate once we get to know each other. I do like attention, and with time and patience, we can grow ever so close. Are you experienced in training nervous and frightened dogs? If so, read on! I listen well and am good with basic commands. Chasing the tennis ball around the yard is fun for me. Sometimes though, I'm unsure of new people and don't know what they want from me. I may stiffen up or growl. Let's meet and explore new friends and places slowly, like snails. Too fast, and my old fears pop up. If the challenge is great, I may bite. A crate all my own would be best, so safe and comfy - in a quiet room with no sudden noises - or outside. I'm sensitive about food and eat twice daily, alone. The fast movements of children can upset Rex, so for me, no kids at all! If you're confident, experienced and up to my challenges, please give Rex a second look. In this world I so want, need, and deserve a beloved friend.
