  Retriever - Brylei - Medium - Baby - Female - Dog

Looking for a cuddly, bundle of fun to join your family, meet the "Bailey Bunch"! These 5 girls and 2 boys are adorable, fuzzy, mixed breed puppies that come in an assortment of colors While clearly not German Shepherds, the story of their rescue is pretty typical of many former Coastal puppies. Born or dumped at the shelter with their moms, they were unwanted and slated to die. With fate on their side, they were among the lucky ones that we were able to save. Now seven weeks old, these roly-poly puppies will be ready to be adopted in a week or so.

Mama Bailey delivered her babies in a scary animal shelter. Doing her best to protect and care for them, she was labeled aggressive by the workers and her chances of getting out alive with her newborns were growing slimmer with every day that passed. It seems since Bailey was not a recognizable breed, no other rescues stepped up to save her and her new born puppies. Finally came the fateful day when she and her nine day old puppies were placed on the euthanasia list. While we were full, we couldn't stand by and let these precious babies and their wonderful mom who kept them alive under such dire conditions die. Our dedicated volunteer made the trek to the shelter he was at the previous day rescuing another large family and whisked this family to safety.

The "Bailey Bunch" have thrived in the safety of their foster home and the wonderful care of their mom. They are very smart, social pups who love the attention from both their human and animal friends. They love to play, especially with their toys. Since mama Bailey is on the smaller side and appears to be perhaps a Lab/Cattle dog mix, these pups should remain on the smaller side as adults. While they each have their own personalities, as a group they all seem to have their mom's sweet, loving temperament and her playful nature. If you are looking for an active loving puppy, consider one of our "Bailey Bunch".

Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!
