Renee's story
Renee is a very special case. She was run over by a tractor trailer of March 16, 2018 and had 5 surgeries to repair her pelvis, hips, knees, femurs, and muscles. She has such an outstanding personality that it was apparent to a lot of people that she had to be saved!
Its so easy to fall in love with her. She is a happy girl that likes other animals and enthusiastically greets all the people she knows. She is crate trained and house trained, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, takes heartworm prevention monthly. She has limited mobility in her rear legs but she is able to walk and potty just fine.
We are looking to find a home for Renee that has her limitations in mind but wants to give her an extremely full life. Renee loves to travel in the car. She does well meeting strangers. She likes to go to the lake and swim with her lifevest on. She likes to go on walks but couldn't hike. She can not jump or go up stairs but can go up ramps.
Renee is in our Foster to Adopt Program. Anyone interested in adopting her would be required to foster her for at least a month before things would be made official. To meet Renee, please fill out this application: /saved-by-the-heart/adoption-application/
Once we review the application, we will set up a time with you to meet Renee and answer any questions. Adoption fee will be discussed, home visits are required. Potential adopters should be able to show vet records if they currently have or previously had pets. Any questions can be emailed to [email protected] or texted to . Phone calls are rarely answered. We are a volunteer run organization based out of Greer SC and work schedules vary so we appreciate your patience during the adoption process.
