Reggie's story
Sweet Reggie is ready to find his forever home. He was abandoned as a little puppy at a rural shelter without his siblings or mom. Friends of Rescue swooped in to give this little guy a chance and give him the support he needed to grow into a confident and well-adjusted puppy. Reggie has thrived in a home environment. He gets along great with his many furry siblings of all sizes. He has not been tested with cats but would likely be fine given his loving disposition and lack of a prey drive.
He is a happy, silly puppy that loves being around people, kids and other dogs. Reggie would do great in most homes. Hes got just the right amount of energy without being obnoxious. He walks well on a leash and has enjoyed several trips out to soccer games, perfectly interacting with many new people.
He loves to cuddle and sleep through the night by your side. He has done fine in a kennel but this sweet guy gives the best snuggles so it will be hard not to keep him next to you as the weather gets colder. He has mastered potty training but would love a home with a doggy door where he has access to a yard of his own and can keep his own potty schedule. Reggie loves his toys. His favorite chew toy is a buffalo horn but he loves ropes and tennis balls and squeakers. Hes great at playing fetch and would do well with a fenced yard to zoom around in. He travels well in the car and would be an excellent hiking buddy. He enjoys playtime and would do great with a friend or two to be silly with. He is very loyal and but hed do fine as someones one and only, too.
Reggie is likely a lab/shepherd mix. He has the cutest tiny ears and a short little tail which probably was injured when he was very little. Hes about 5 months old and has already mastered potty training. He weighs 30lbs. now and is estimated to be around 50lbs as an adult. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and on heartworm preventative.
This guy is the total package if youre looking for someone to share your life with. He loves kids and would be an ideal family dog. At such a young age he has already demonstrated all of the qualities of a great companion animal.
Reggie is fostered in Madison Alabama, but he's not fussy about where he lives, as long as he is loved. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If interested in adopting this love bug, please fill out an application at /dog-application.
