Description

  My story

NAME:  RazzleAGE:  Approximately 2 years oldWEIGHT: 7 1/2ish lbs.LIKES:  Razzle likes to play with toys and other dogs (though she has not been around large dogs).  She also likes to chew on nylabones, Benebones, and other hard chew toys.  Razzles loves her some treats, is a total lap dog and loves to be around her person/people.  She'll gladly snuggle in next to you, or on you, to nap.  She loves to run around and play.  She also has no problem with car rides.DISLIKES:  Hmmmm, haven't found much she doesn't like.  Except maybe her face being washed/sprayed when it's bath time.  Often squeakers in plush toys will scare her if she accidentally squeaks one but she gets over it and will play with the toy again.PERSONALITY:  Razzle can be shy when meeting new people, like you often see with her breed, but once she's comfy she's all about the love.    She is a lot of fun, especially to watch run around and play.  She's an entertaining one, especially when she puts on a little show.  A very pleasant personality.  TEMPERAMENT:  She is super sweet and loving, pretty darn quiet except for an occasional alert bark when she hears strangers or sudden strange noises outside or if she really wants one of the others to play she will "talk" to them but she's definitely not your typical barky little chi.ENERGY LEVEL:   Razzle has a higher energy level, being the younger girl she is.  Walks will do her well and playtime.  While she will often play with toys on her own, she will now run after them when thrown for her and she's usually up for a good game of fetch.  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES:  Playing with toys, running around, chewing on toys, being loved on, petted, lap-time and snuggle time, lounging around, sleeping, trying to get the other little dogs to play.FAVORITE TREAT:  Razzle doesn't discriminate, she likes just about all treats offered, haha.  However, if given to her in her crate, she will often "hide" them or try to "bury" them, apparently wanting to save them for another time.  Same with edible dental chew bones.EATING SCHEDULE:   Razzle is at a good weight now so she is down to 2 meals a day, around 7 am and around 5 pm.  She gets snacks throughout the day as well and enjoys a snack before bed as well.  GOOD WITH CATS, DOGS, KIDS OVER 6?  Razzle has not been around cats.  She is fostered with other small dogs and has been just fine with them.  She tries to get them to play with her but none want to.  She has not been around children either but kids under 10ish would have to be mindful of her small size and that she can get underfoot.HOUSE TRAINED:  Yes, though as a small dog needs taken out more often SIGNALS TO GO OUT:   No she does not.CRATE TRAINED:  Yes.CHALLENGES:  No major challenges. She can be puppy-like, sometimes stealing things she shouldn't (uh, like dog hair I just brushed from another dog) or socks, or even shirts, haha.  She has a pretty high prey drive so one must be mindful of that when taking her out so they're not caught off guard as far as holding onto her leash.  She redirects/calms quickly though after the initial excitement of seeing/smelling a critter passes.  MEDICAL ISSUES:  No known medical issues.THE BEST HOME:   The best home for Razzle is one that will be filled with love and good things after she found herself homeless and living scared on the streets.  One that will just allow her to be herself and give her time to adjust to her new surroundings and home.  Razzle would be ok as an only dog but it seems she would enjoy a doggie friend so if there is another dog in the home, best if they want to play with her or they likely wouldn't appreciate her attempts at play.  She has tried hard with a couple of the other fosters but has only been successful a couple times.  Razzle will love a home where she will get plenty of lap time and snuggles and will be told what a good girl she is.  Razzle is ready to Dazzle her way into your heart. Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1 1/2 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue.ADOPTION FEE's:Puppies under 6 months:  $199.00Adults:  $150.00Seniors (over 7 yrs):  $99.00If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/165
