I have almost zero expertise in the assessment, grading, or describing most artwork. My research shows that Thelma Park was a Texas Artist mostly known for her landscape of natural subjects. However, unsure of the title of this painting but the back of the painting has some
writing that says something about being in Taos New Mexico. I have no idea if this was the influence behind this piece or if it’s also inspired by some geographical area of Texas. It depicts two girls and a woman or three girls adolescents at different ages. They are in a red, a white and a blue dress. Maybe symbolically patriotic? Maybe just coincidence. The wedges around the canvas have a few loose strands. Nothing remarkable. Looks like back of photo maybe saw some mild water damage but does not appear to affect the painting itself. Please see pics. I also still have the frame if interested. It’s in acceptable condition but would make shipping a lot higher. It’s the same type frame and matting. Thanks measures approx 18” x 13”??
