Silvertone & Teisco collectors... this is in exceptional condition and looks literally 'showroom new' - the chrome is shiny and crisp, little to no tarnishing... all complete. Looks like it came from the store yesterday ... here is some info about this gem from the Silvertone World website.... ours is identical to the photo!
From the Teisco/ Silvertone site:
"The 1418 was one of the first guitars to 'hit the beach' in preparation of the Fall 1968 Japanese Invasion of the electric guitar portion of the Sears catalog. Based on the Teisco EP-2L, which was itself kinda ES-335ish, it was the only one in this 'family' to share the EP-2L 'Mt. Fuji' headstock. It was the predecessor to the much longer-lived (and far more common) Silvertone 1455 and 1456. Introduced/Retired: Spring/Summer 1968 as the 57H1418 at $58.95 "
