~~~~~~
Ranger is a 6 year old, 65 lb. neutered lab/shepherd mix (best guess), and a real sweetie pie. He gets along fine with almost all dogs, and people, although he has a reputation now for "guarding" his female humans, if they are not alpha enough, and show him they are strong enough to stand on their own. He would do well in a house with one or more men (men just LOVE the way he looks!), or a strong female human who has another dog, or a family where the wife is a dog savvy woman.
Ranger is still very active and playful.......he requires either a large property to run around chasing squirrels and bunnies, or someone who loves to hike or jog. He's a total family dog, who loves to chase balls, play with squeaky toys, LOVES to swim, or just relax after a good walk. He is currently living in a home with 3 other dogs, and although he is really happy, he'd prefer not to have to share people love with so many other dogs.
Ranger's ideal home would be one with no cats (he'd chase them) or kids (their quick movements make him nervous), but he does very well with other dogs, especially ones that are smaller than he is and are submissive in nature.
His foster mom has housetrained him, taught him the basic commands, and hikes with him every day. He is a very well-mannered, affectionate gentleman. Ranger is current on his vaccinations, and is in great shape because of the amount of exercise he gets, but is on thyroid medication, which his foster would be happy to pay for, for the rest of his life, if needed.
If you think Ranger would fit into your lifestyle, and are ready for this affectionate, well behaved hunk-o-love, please contact Lani Bray at [email protected] to arrange a meet and greet.
