My story
Ralph, is wary at first when you approach him, but warms up quickly.
This is very typical for the Mastiff breed.
He is also very concerned listening to all the feet scrambling about in the hall hoping that it is his owner.
This too is very Mastiff, they are a very loyal breed.
He loved the evaluation room laying under my desk with great manners, he would make a great foot warmer on a cold winter day.
He loved his pets, was good with all body handling letting me look in his mouth, and touch his feet.
He let me take his food bowl from him without a fuss, and when he burps it sounds like something going down a drain.
He did come to the shelter with another dog, he was not overly concerned with the dogs in the kennels, just giving a curious sniff.
He has not met a cat or a child here at the shelter so I have to put unknown how he would be with them.
He did not play much with toys, likes them, but would rather do that awkward, comical run.
He did not care for loud noise, and was wary when I came to the door with a "oh, oh, this could be a boggy man."
He did recover quickly, but did take a nap too relieve the stress.
If you have Mastiff experience, and cannot resist the breed Ralph is for you.
He is quiet, loyal, stoic and calm.
Come meet Ralph.
