Hello-
I'm offering for sale my 6 year old Radiated Tortoise.
I?m not 100% sure of its sex. It shows physical characteristics of both male and female at this young age. Perhaps time and/or a definitive endoscopic examination will solve the mystery in the future.
I purchased the tortoise from the East Bay Vivarium, Berkeley, CA in October of 2007. It was about a year old at the time of purchase and originally came from a reputable breeder in Alpine, CA (Rancho de las Tortugas).
It is currently 6.75" long when measured from the tip of the plastron to the end of the carapace right after the tail.
It measures 4.50" high and 5" wide. Weight is close to 2 lbs.
Here is a link to a YouTube video I posted of my radiated tortoise recently:

It is very healthy, has quite the friendly personality, a big appetite, and is very inquisitive but still shy at times.
Its diet has consisted mostly of collard greens, kale, tomato, apple, endive/chicory, and other various greens and fruits.
I'm looking to get my tortoise to a good home where it can be loved as a pet or breeder.
I'm asking $2,800 but willing to listen to reasonable offers. No trades.
This Radiated tortoise may be sold to California residents only.
The tortoise is to be picked up locally in the Sacramento, CA area, the San Francisco, CA/Bay Area, or we can arrange to meet up if it?s reasonably close.
Please feel free to email me with any additional questions.
Thank you,
Mark
