My story
The queen of hearts!Hey there! Before I steal your heart, let me introduce myself. I am Queenie, a 2 year old female Shepherd mix, weighing around 60 lbs. I came all the way from Mexicali looing for a furever family, and I so hope it's you! While I wait, I have been a great gal at my foster home and have mastered crate and bathroom training. I havent shown any separation anxiety yet. I am very good on the leash too, but need more work on my leash reactivity. Positive reinforcement will take us places! I am spayed.I am a calm lady and well-mannered in the house. I really tend to just sleep when I am inside. I am pretty good in the apartment too! I simply enjoy loving on my people with belly rubs and pressing my whole body for a deep cuddle! I do have a playful streak and enjoy a fun game of tug or tossing my Kong to get treats. Except my toys, I dont chew on anything else. If I hear something outside, I may bark, but I get re-directed easily. Because of my leash reactivity, we havent yet met any other dogs or cats yet. I am great with people though, and older kids should be better once I learn of my own strength and get a control on my impulses.I am a calm doggo and will fit into any kind of home. I would prefer to be the only dog for now, till I figure out how I feel with other dogs. I am an extremely sweet and mild mannered dog who only needs minimal training and just wants to be loved. If you think we can be a pawtners, let's meet up! My adoption fee is $400 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/##1213952##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Queenie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
