Quarterhorse - Ayla - Medium - Young - Female - Horse
Ayla is a young mare, born in January, 2008, who came from a Paint-horse breeding operation in Cheyenne, Wyoming. While still living with the breeder, Ayla gave birth to a colt, Raleigh, in April of 2011. However, the breeder encountered financial concerns and could no longer adequately maintain his herd. As a result, Ayla and her handsome new son came to Horse Haven. Since coming to the Sanctuary, Ayla has received a proper diet and plenty of it! She's filled out nicely, and her foal thrives, as well. Ayla and Raleigh are learning that humans can be kind and trustworthy. Mother and son are becoming sociable and very curious as they learn confidence and trust through Parelli Natural Horsemanship techniques. She's just beginning her Parelli Natural Horsemanship journey toward becoming a true partner. Ayla is a sound mare; and, she's ready and willing to bond with a special person. It's no surprise, though, that she's especially welcoming when she knows a treat reward is at hand! This pretty mare would do well with a Parelli student who has earned at least a Level-3 rating. Potential adopters who practice an alternative form of natural horsemanship are encouraged to meet Ayla and demonstrate their skill levels. Ayla's new start in life is coming along great. But she can only achieve a true happily-ever-after with a home to call her own. Seeking inquiries from caring, horse-savvy families!
