Hi, Im Trissie, a beautiful black and white canine, and I would love to be adopted by your family, especially if you have kind and energetic children, and are kind and energetic yourself, with the time to take care of a dog.
I love to be petted and made a fuss of, and to play soccer, to run at dog parks, to play at Dog Mode when my owners are away, to sleep in my den at night (AKA my owners room) or during the day in an indoor, cool spot (or warm, depending on the season). Overall, I just love being part of the family! I also get along well with cats.
Im used to being mostly indoors when the weathers cold and wet, but I love to roll in the snow. The heat of summer can be a bit of a trial since my fur coat is somewhat hefty, but Im good at finding shady places.
Im 10, well past the puppy stage, but I still have a loving heart and abundant energy. Im a herder, and I take care of my pack.
I dont like thunder, though, or being left alone for a long time. Im a people dog.
Im a pure bred Border collie, registered with the American Kennel Club; my sire comes from a championship blood line, and my dam comes from a working blood line.
My primary owner is a junior at the University of Utah, studying chemistry with many labs and long hours away, and has decided, since Mom and Dad are moving to another state, that I wont have a great life alone in a small apartment. Its best Im in a loving home around children, just like the energetic and loving child I once played with. (Perhaps visits with me can be arranged?)
Im female and spayed, and all caught up on my shots. I wont need a rabies vaccination for another three years. One of my favorite treats is a monthly heartworm tidbit. Ive been eating Iams Optimal Weight to keep my figure trim. Im considered a medium sized dog.
Oh, yes, I really need a fenced yard to play in. Two Septembers ago I got out of my fenced back yard, and tried to make my way across a busy street. That was sad, but I survived with only a small injury. I can still run like the wind, though, even without the fourth digit on my right paw. I dont consider myself disabled in any way, but I thought you should know.
If you think you might want the love, commitments, and fun of a life with me, contact one of my owners. They receive texts and calls at
or calls ONLY at . They would love to talk to you, answer any questions, and arrange for us to meet. Im looking forward to it!
Adoption fee: $50.
