Pumpkin Spice's story
Guuuuys.... you have GOT to come meet this doll baby! Meet Pumpkin Spice!
Pumpkin has come really far during her time at the shelter. She came in covered in ticks and was initially so fearful, she would snap and get defensive when you approached her. Pumpkin Spice today though, is a gal that's not afraid to show her silly side! When Pumpkin really gets going, she does the cutest zoomies (see video here: /AzShelterPets/videos/421/). It seems like Pumpkin is new to this attention thing, and is slowly but surely realizing that she is stinkin' adorable and can work the humans for lots of pets and treats lol. Uh oh- we may have a budding diva on our hands!
Pumpkin Spice still gets a bit nervous on the leash and will pancake from time to time when walking. With encouragement and a little patience, she will keep moving though. Pumpkin already knows "sit" for a treat and is super treat motivated, so I think she could easily learn more! Pumpkin did fine with the other dogs during her group eval. She was polite with her greetings, although a little nervous. She remained calm and friendly in the yard throughout her time. Bring your dog in for an intro (always recommended!).
You can meet 1 yr old Pumpkin Spice at the MCAC West shelter in Phx (2500 S. 27th Ave.). Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Pumpkin's $25 adoption fee includes spay, rabies certificate and County license.
