Pug - Vera - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog

　　Hello. My name is Vera. I?m 6 years old, and a perfect, compact size. I get along with the other pugs here, as well as with the cats, I love to go on walks, and I have excellent house manners. I am generally a happy, contented girl. I have to say that the photos nearby really don?t show me off as well as they might ? I?m not usually as serious as those pictures suggest.

　　I?m a little fuzzy on my background, but foster mom thinks I was free-fed because I have to think about what?s in the bowl before I?ll eat it. Sometimes I have to think about it for quite a while! But food doesn?t stay around long with these pug boys nearby, so foster mom takes it up if I don?t eat it within her time frame. I do think she has finally found something I?ll eat fairly willingly ? it took her over a week to figure it out!

　　Foster mom also says that I?m also a little skittish. We?re working on that, and I?m learning that I have to be a bit assertive (which isn?t really my nature) if I want attention ? these boys are really attention hogs, so I have to squeeze in among them!

　　When I think about my forever family, I think I would like someone who can be patient and calm with me, love on me, and not be upset if I don?t come when I?m called, or if I hesitate about coming too close. I?ll get there! I just need a little time, and a LOT of love!
