Pug - Shani - Medium - Senior - Female - Dog
My adoption fee is $125.00
Hi, my name is Shani. Did you know that Shani is a Swahili work that means wonderful or marvelous? Shani hasn't always been my name. It's the name the APARN folks gave me when they rescued me from the County Shelter. APARN says senior pugs like me (I'ma bout 10 years old) are just the best, so that is why my name is Shani. Because APARN says I am wonderful and marvelous! I love being an APARN foster pug during this Year of the Senior Pug! I have never felt more loved. But I would really like to find my forever home.
Foster mom says I weigh 15 pounds, and am cute and tiny. I love to sleep right up against foster mom at night, so if you are looking for a night time snuggle pal, I can fill that role! I find it very comforting to sleep next to my person, so I hope my forever family will let me snuggle with them at night.
I have very bad ears and am pretty much deaf; the vet says I probably have had ear problems all my life, and probably will, so will need to stay on the ear meds.
Foster mom says I am a very fussy eater for a pug! But I have a sensitive stomach. I don't like fish, and won't eat any food with fish in it! I currently eat canned AvoDerm Chicken & Rice formula (it has lots of other good stuff including veggies in it). That seems to be okay with my tummy. I also have a hard time taking antibiotics, they upset my tummy too.
Oh one more thing. I would prefer it if my forever home did not have children. I don?t fight with the other pugs in my foster home, but I will nip at them if I am already on the bed when they jump up. So foster mom says it is better that there not be kids in my forever home.
I just got my teeth cleaned on Thursday, 8/2/12 so that I will have fresh kissy breath when we meet!
