We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt // // Updated video of Nickle - http://youtu.be/f63j7B7D_Uw ( Nickle's 5 week update). Nickle is a beagle pug mix or "puggle". Age: 3-4 years old. Black and tan markings. Healthy weight at 18 pounds. Housebroken. He does chase the cat but only for fun.Active home with regular exercise is recommended. Nickle (Nico) has overall potential to be a great family dog. He has puppy-energy that needs to be drained with exercise in the morning and evening. He is more relaxed and calm after exercising. He now knows how to use good manners during feeding time (sit, wait, and gently take the food from Handlers hand). Nickle cuddles with trusted handlers. He has been training how to walk next to a handler instead of pulling (slip leash used). He has been learning how to socialize and to respect hierarchy of the pack. The foster home is very structured and the handlers use boundaries-rules-and limitations to discipline Nickle. He has been thriving in five weeks. Nickle whines/barks when he is crated for about 10 minutes, then he is fine. He needs supervision until he understands the routine, then he becomes a better follower. From Nickle: Hi! I like to eat bones, carrots, and apples. I am getting over my separation-anxiety by learning to calm myself down quickly. I sleep in my crate all night after Ive been exercised. I am getting better at introducing myself to strange dogs and remaining calm when another dog is rambunctious. Im working on responding to my name and coming when Im called. I like to explore and I wander off sometimes, so I need to be supervised until we build trust. If I start getting excited, that means I need to drain some energy. I like to go on walks and see the world outside the backyard. Vaccines and rabies shot up-to-date. Adoption fee $200 -- Nickle is neutered, microchip, and current on vaccines. All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog. We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information. All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home. Thank you for visiting our dogs located at
