My story

　　Hey guys my name is Potato Chip! I came to the Forsyth County Animal Shelter as a stray and I am looking for a new family to call my own. I am a pretty chill dude and would love to be your new family addition. If you have mini-humans or other dogs at home I would love to meet them and see if we could be roommates! Unfortunately, my previous owner did not keep me on heartworm prevention, and now I have to undergo heartworm treatment and will need to find an understanding new family that can keep me on year-round prevention and give me a calm place to hang out while I go through treatment. Don't panic though the nice people at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter will provide ALL necessary treatment at no additional cost to you. Due to my heartworm status I fall under their Foster-To-Adopt program which means my new family DOES NOT HAVE TO PAY for treatment or veterinary care while I am going through treatment! Heartworm treatment is very safe, and the success rate is high, but they prefer for heartworm positive dogs like me to recover in a home with an adopter rather than in a stressful shelter environment.
