My story

　　Portia is an approximately 12 and a half year old domestic shorthair who was originally brought to us in 2010. She was adopted in 2011 and returned in June 2022 from the SPCA after being surrendered there for euthanasia along with another one of our adoptables who shared that home with her, "Gahiji". Gahiji and Portia are still both looking for their new forever homes but are not required to go together. We have observed that Portia does have kidney disease and will need an adopter to understand that she is required to be on a strict kidney diet for the rest of her life. She also was unfortunately declawed in her previous home on her 2 front paws. We don't notice that it causes her any issues due to her being really good with the litterbox but her adopter would also need to understand that it is possible that it may affect her differently in the future as she gets older. Due to her kidney diet and age it has been hard for Portia to find someone to love her for her but she is the sweetest cat you will ever meet! She loves to greet you with the cutest little squeak every day and loves to cuddle and follow you around!
