My story
Poppy is an 1-year-old female Pit Bull mix who has already been spayed. She came to PAHS as an owner turn in because she was not allowed to live in her owner's apartment. Poppy is black with white markings; and she is a beautiful girl. Her stocky little body weighs 47 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized adult dog. Poppy does have some skin issues that the staff is working on helping her get over. She is a friendly and affectionate girl who would be fine in a home with other dogs and children. However, it is recommended she NOT be in a home with cats. Poppy is leash trained but she is a strong lady who does tend to pull on her leash. We know that a nice fenced yard, where she could safely exercise, would help her release some of her energy and activeness. Poppy is a very nice girl who would really love to be in her own home with her own family; and the sooner the better! Come out and meet this little dynamo and see for yourself what a great dog she is. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Poppy 35151, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
