[email removed] Chessie is a female Poodle/West Highland Terrier mix approximately 4 1/2 years of age. She has a curly, white, non-shedding coat and she weighs only 11 pounds full grown. Chessie is a sunny, happy little dog, super smart and a joy to have around. She is perky and quick, learning the ways of the household easily. Chessie adores people and will do anything for your approval. She simply wants to be included as a family member, loved and cherished. Chessie has had a rough start in life, but despite that she remains affectionate, loving and cheerful. She is great on leash and loves to go on walks. Chessie is good with other dogs and children. She is focused mainly on people and will stay close to you like a little shadow. Chessie loves hanging out with the family and can entertain herself or perhaps snooze in a cozy doggie bed if nothing is going on. She thrives on being indoors with her people, safe and warm. Chessie was brought in the a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was terrified and sad. We love how her warm, happy spirit has returned now that she has been rescued and is in a normal environment. She is going to make a fantastic, fun and loyal pet and companion.
