　　This foxy dog is Teddy, a seven year old (or so) male Pomeranian. He has a handsome red coat that is really coming back to life and looking so much better. Teddy weighs about 17 pounds but looks like all hair! Poor Teddy has had a bit of a rough life. His first couple of years he lived outside on a tethered line. Then he was rehomed and lived inside and was always well loved. But the person fell on hard times and could not afford much vet care for him and he had a horrible case of flea allergies that really messed up his coat. This owner passed away recently and Teddy came into our care. Just with the combination of vet care to treat the skin, better nutrition and flea/tick prevention, Teddy is really looking like a glamour boy again!

　　Teddy was a bit shell shocked at first and not very happy but he is doing so much better now. He is a very sweet dog, loves to play, especially with puppies. He loves to be held. He will sleep in a crate that is covered but prefers a bed. He is house trained but may need a bit of a refresher course on it. We have been told that Teddy was very protective/territorial about his owner and would bark and growl at folks coming to the house. Then when she died, he stopped doing that. So we are advising no small children and that the new owners train him to stay as friendly and social as he is now. We and his foster home folks can help you with that.

　　Teddy is up to date on his vet care, neutered and is heartworm negative. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. We know he is ready to get back into a loving home again, thank heavens dogs adapt so well to changes in their life.
